Beth Ann Downer

Beth Ann has been appointed by Elim Fellowship since 2006. She has cared for babies and children in orphanages for over 20 years, including Mexico, Jamaica and Paraguay and currently KENYA. Beth Ann Downer is currently the manager of the Stepping Stones Center, a dedicated home to love and care for special needs children at In Step Children's Home in KENYA. She went to KENYA in 2011 and taught preschool until the Stepping Stones Center was opened in 2015. Currently there are 12 children Beth Ann cares for along with a dedicated team of KENYAN care givers. Some of the children are in wheel chairs, most are non-verbal, the majority have to be fed, some with pureed food and the children are in diapers. One child is blind and deaf and 6 of them have Cerebral Palsy. The children receive therapy daily with visits from a professional therapist twice a week. Beth Ann's heart is to love these children, teach them about JESUS and to help them realize they are all valuable jewels and priceless treasures, not a curse or something to be discarded or thrown away.
