JESUS KNOWS WHAT WE NEED

Many of you may remember Serene as one of the girls that I was able to dlsciple during my second year in Asia.Serene is our main Church leader in Gtown and even after all these years, we still stay connected.

As a Church leader, Serene carries the weight of leading and recently she has felt discouraged. Over the last few months Serene has felt the need for wisdom as there have been several hard situations to navigate, and more recently her mother was diagnosed with cancer.

I had no idea some of these things were going on, but I felt led to send her a small gift and a letter encouraging her in this season and this was her response:

“Hey my adorable Summer.  Thanks for your precious necklace and all this encouragement. I love it! And yeah it’s the season I need God’s power to fight for me.  You know what I need! Thanks for loving me so much and your prayers for me. I miss you and miss the time together so much.”

I love that the Lord knows exactly what we need and wanted to use me to encourage Serene. What an honor and a gift!
